Cherry Blossom Season in Taiwan - 2017 Sakura Series [Travel in Taiwan 170324: Taipei Flower Test Center (台北市花卉試驗中心) Shōwa Sakura (昭和櫻)]

How to get here: Board the Taipei MRT and alight at Taipei Main Station. Get out of the train station via Exits Y4, Y6 or Y8 of the Taipei City Mall and transfer to Bus 260. Visitors can also go to Exit M1 to wait for the shuttle bus.

Alight at Shan Zai Hou Police Station (山仔后派出所). The entrance of the Taipei Flower Test Center is on the other side of the road beside the CPC gas station. This place is open from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm every day.

Status of flowering: 90% of the showa flower buds have opened. There were also yoshino sakura trees but they only have a few flowers at the time of my visit.

There were also other varieties but they were not yet in full bloom.

The trees were not so many but I went on the right time because they were almost in full bloom.

Another great shot!

close-up of the Showa sakuras.  The recent rains in Taipei made them to not look fresh anymore.

Showa! Oh Showa!

Pink to white. Haha!

Wow again!
